đź§ What is the OINP Masters Graduate Stream?
This stream allows international graduates with an Ontario Master’s degree to apply for a nomination for permanent residence, without needing a job offer. That means if you’ve finished your studies in Ontario and want to stay, this is a great opportunity.
âś… Who Can Apply?
To qualify, you must:
- Have completed at least one academic year of full-time study and earned a Master’s degree from an eligible Ontario university.
- Apply within two years of completing your degree.
- Be legally living in Ontario (or be outside Canada) when you apply.
- Show language proficiency (CLB 7 or higher in English or French).
- Show enough funds to support yourself and any dependents.
- Show intention to live in Ontario permanently.
❌ Who is Not Eligible?
You cannot apply if:
- You’re a PhD graduate (there’s a separate stream for that).
- You don’t currently live in Ontario or can’t prove your intention to stay.
- Your degree is older than 2 years.

- Register in the OINP Expression of Interest (EOI) system.
- Receive an invitation to apply (based on a points system).
- Submit your application online through the OINP e-Filing Portal.
- If nominated, apply to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for permanent residence.
