Alberta Express Entry Stream (EE)

Skilled Worker Pathway through the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP)

The Alberta Express Entry Stream (EE) is one of four worker streams offered under the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP). This stream is for skilled workers with an active Express Entry profile who may be selected to receive a Notice of Invitation (NOI) from the province.

Eligibility Overview

To be considered for an invitation under the Alberta Express Entry Stream, candidates must meet requirements in the following three areas:

1. Assessment Requirements

  • Active Express Entry Profile
  • Eligibility for one of the following federal programs:
    • Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
    • Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)
    • Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
  • Minimum CRS Score: 300
  • Occupation: Must fall under Alberta’s occupation requirements

2. Pathway Requirements

Applicants may be selected under specific priority pathways such as:

  • Dedicated Healthcare Pathway
  • Accelerated Tech Pathway
  • Law Enforcement
  • Other priority sectors

3. Selection Draw Requirements

  • 🔁 Your Express Entry profile should be updated, especially if it is expiring within 5 months

How It Works

Candidates do not apply directly to this stream. Instead, Alberta may issue a Notice of Invitation (NOI) through the federal Express Entry system. If you receive an NOI, you may then apply to the Alberta Express Entry Stream through the AAIP portal.
