What is Express Entry (EE)?
Generally speaking, EE is an online immigration application system. It allows people to submit a profile and be considered as a skilled immigrant. Candidates with the highest rankings are invited to apply for permanent residency.
After filling out a profile for EE, your application will be ranked according to a points system. If you are highly ranked, you will be invited to apply for permanent residence as a skilled immigrant. There are three programs under EE, which are Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trade Program and Canadian Experience Class Program. Each program has its own method to pick eligible candidates. Candidates need to meet at least one of the program requirements in order to be in the EE pool.
